The Gap· 課題

Tokyo never built a place that fit its creators.

I worked from apartments. From café corners, watching the clock until I had to buy another coffee or pack up. From offices built for meetings, not for making things.

None of them were built for the work. Calibrated screens, a place to shoot, gear, quiet when you need it. None of it was there.

And the part nobody talks about: doing it alone. No room full of people doing the same work as you. No one to show a rough cut to. You get good in isolation, or you don't get good.

The talent in this city is real. The structure around it isn't. That gap is the whole reason SP8A exists.

The Feeling· 場所

You won't be asked what you're here for. You'll already belong.

Warm light, low and even. The quiet hum of people working, the kind that makes you want to start.

At SP8A, the room was built around the creation. Screens, gear, desk, all of it chosen by people who do it.

Someone's editing at the next table. Someone else is framing up a shot. Everyone here is making something.

Not a space you rent. A room where the work and the people finally fit. And here, you're not doing this alone.

This isn't a concept. It's already being built.

Built by a creator, for creators

Ashirani Murata has worked as an independent creator in Tokyo. SP8A is the space he kept looking for and couldn't find.

Backed by a working company

SP8A is built by R&S CREATIVES, a Tokyo media and creative company, not a side project waiting on this campaign to exist.

A community is already forming

The build is happening in the open on @sp8a_creators and @ashiranim, ahead of a single door opening.

The Founder· 創業者
Ashirani Murata, founder of SP8A Creators

I looked everywhere for it. It doesn't exist in Tokyo. So I stopped looking and started building.

I run R&S CREATIVES. Photo, video, design. I built it through the messy freelance-in-Tokyo years, because I lived every part of them.

I could scale that. Take more clients, hire more people, raise prices. I'm not doing that. An agency sells a creator's hours. It doesn't fix the thing that actually breaks people here: working alone, in places never built for the work, with no room full of people who get it.

I'm half-Japanese, bilingual, between both worlds. I'm not building this from a Silicon Valley office. I'm building it from inside the scene, for the Japanese creator scene and the international one growing here.

This is the biggest thing I've taken on, and I'm doing it in public, on purpose. SP8A isn't mine. If you back it, it's ours.

What You're Backing· 何を支えるか

SP8A is a place that makes you better at the work.

Three parts, and they hold each other up: the space, the path, and the work. Together, they are the reason a member stays.

01

SP8A

The Space

A curated coworking floor and café in Tokyo, built for photo, video, design and sound creators, not for density. The part you can walk into, and the part that can't be copied, because the value is the creators in it.

02

The League

The Path

An optional progression for members who want to grow: Explorer, Contributor, Collaborator, Creator Select. You move up by showing up and contributing, not by paying more.

03

ENG8E

The Work

A team-based pipeline that brings outside client work to the people in the room. Not a job board. Real briefs, built by small teams of members, with a clear split.

Creator Pro
¥65,000/mo + ¥20,000 join

The full membership. Unlimited access to the space, the League, and the ENG8E pipeline. The membership the campaign's Pro tiers give you a head start on.

Day Pass
¥5,500/visit

The way in without committing. A single visit, or prepaid bundles that bring the per-visit cost down. Try the room before you join.

You're not backing a café. You're backing the place that work runs through.

Where This Takes You· この先に

Inside SP8A, the work comes to you.A year in, you're sharper for it.

NOW

Right now, you find the work. You pitch alone, take what comes, and price yourself by the hour, because that's all one creator can sell.

INSIDE SP8A

Inside SP8A, the work comes to you. Real client briefs run through ENG8E to small teams built from the room, so you take on projects bigger than you could carry alone, priced on the work, not the clock.

THE WORK CHANGES YOU

And the work changes you. More real briefs, more reps, more people around you who are sharper than you at something. Craft compounds in volume, next to people who push you, not in isolation.

A YEAR IN

A year in, you're not the creator who walked in. You're building with a team you trust, taking on work you couldn't have reached alone, and better at the craft than a year by yourself could ever have made you.

Why Now· いま

More creators than ever. Still no room built for them. That ends this autumn.

More people in Tokyo work for themselves now than ever. The work is here. The clients are here. The talent is ready.

What's missing is the room. And the longer that's true, the more good people burn out alone or leave for somewhere that gets it.

The space is real and the plan is set: doors open this autumn, October 2026. Backing now is what turns a plan into a place. Back early, and you're not a customer who showed up later. You're one of the people who made it exist.

Honest Answers· 正直にお答えします

Before you commit.

The opening event is set for autumn 2026, with doors open to members from October 2026. Backing now is what makes that timeline real. You're not waiting on a maybe. You're funding a build that's already moving toward a date.
Straight into building the space.
  • Equipment that makes the room work for real creators.
  • The build-out of the physical space itself.
  • Reward fulfillment for backers (merch, passes, founding recognition).
  • Promotion to bring the right creators through the door.
No vague "operations." This is a physical place, and your backing pays for the physical place.
SP8A gets built either way. This campaign runs on CAMPFIRE's All-In model (実行確約), which means the project proceeds whether or not it hits the goal. There's no all-or-nothing cliff. Every yen goes directly into the build, from the first one. The usual worry, "what if it falls short and I get nothing," doesn't apply here. The goal is the ambition. The build is the commitment.
Two ways in. Creator Pro is the full membership: ¥65,000/month plus a ¥20,000 joining fee, unlimited access to the space and the wider ecosystem. Day passes are for dropping in: ¥5,500 per visit, or prepaid bundles (5 / ¥25,000 · 10 / ¥46,000 · 20 / ¥84,000). Several backing tiers include real membership time, at the founding rate.
Because backing now isn't the same as joining later. You shape it, not just use it: founding backers get the pre-opening meetups, updates from inside the build, and a voice while the space is still taking form. And founding recognition only happens once. Every tier carries founding member status, permanently. You can join SP8A later. You can only help found it now.
Be One of the First· 最初の一人に

The space gets built either way. The question is whether you helped.

Back at any level, and you're a founding member. Not a pre-order. A name on the wall of a creative institution before it had walls.

Back SP8A on CAMPFIRE Founding rate. Open until August 15, 2026. Your backing funds the build directly.
